You have arrived
at the website for educational resources for elementary and middle
school
teachers and students for content areas. These resources
presented
here are designed with 5th grade level in mind but they can be adapted
according to how and where these units are used. Now that I have moved
up to 6th grade, units for middle school will be coming soon. They all
incorporate
the
use of the internet and other technology. In time, we hope to
offer
resources for a wider variety of grade levels and subjects.
All
of the projects
on this page were developed by Rob Curry, unless noted otherwise.
The knowledge to create them was from taking National
Semiconductor's Global
Connections Course (since discontinued) centering on web page building
and Intel's Teach
to the Future Program which taught me how to use multiple
components
of technology in the classroom.
More
recently,
I have learned tremendous technology skills through Foothill
College's LINC program at their state of the art Krause Center for
Innovation. I also have had my students use the past entries
available in the library of past ThinkQuest
projects as they develop their own Project Based Learning preoducts.
Special Thanks
to the Berryessa Education Foundation for a grant for 1 student
computer and more recently, a projector.
Also, check out
the Netscape
Composer Tutorial to learn how to build easy web pages.
