NEA RA ELECTION RESULTS

 

The election for the NEA RA state and local delegates

are complete.  The elected local delegates are Joe Hermann,

Rob Curry, and Manny Lopez.  Joyce Singh and Beth

Hanson are the local successor delegates.  These results are

informal until the state delegates are formalized.  The

elected state delegates are Manny Lopez, Joyce Singh,

and Joe Hermann.   The state successor delegates are

Rob Curry, Beth Hanson, Mike Keita, and Gary Gairaud.

We are can send three local delegated to the NEA RA.

The positions of the delegates will be official after the

delegates and successor delegates commit to going.

 

 

 

            EXECUTIVE BOARD AND PAR ELECTION

 

All reps should have gotten their materials from the election

committee.  We have a new election chair and co-chair.  Our

new chair is Katie Angarano and our new co- chairs is Sandra

Main.  They are teachers at Majestic Way.  All reps should be

posting the Election Announcement and the Timeline of the Election. 

All reps should have gotten their materials on Friday, April 18^th. I

went through the pony. Any reps that did not get their materials

please let Katie or Sandra know immediately.

 

Also announce to all members at a short meeting that there is

an election.  Have the candidate forms available for any member

who wants to run.  All these elected positions are paid positions.

PAR panel members are also paid a stipend.

 

The open positions are:  CTAB:  President, Vice-President, Secretary,

Treasurer, Two Elementary Reps, and One Middle School Rep. 

The PAR positions are:  a one year position to fill a vacancy and

a three-year position.  Any active member of CTAB can run for

these positions. 

 

Please look carefully at the timeline that is posted at your school. If you

would like to run, apply for any open positions.  Note that

there is a time to campaign.  Your election committee will give you

information as soon as you become a candidate.  The election is to

take place at your school site on May 19-May 22.  Please check the

official timeline posted at your school for official times for application

due dates, campaigning dates, and dates that ballots must be turned in.
