Characters
The characters are the people or subjects that a story is about.
When we study a story, we look at character traits, qualities that they have that make them interesting.

Examples of main characters in literature would be Harry Potter and Alice in Alice in Wonderland.
Supporting characters would include Hermione (in Harry Potter books) and the Mad Hatter (Alice in Wonderland).
In some stories, non humans are the characters.

Characters can be heroes (protagonists) or villians (antagonists).

Do characters always have to be humans?
