A Message from the Principal
 It
is my pleasure to welcome you to the Vinci Park Elementary web site.
Vinci Park Elementary School is located in San Jose, California and is
a part of the Berryessa Union School District. Our student population of
750 students has a very diverse ethnic makeup that brings a richness of
cultures to our campus.
Vinci Park’s staff is
committed to providing a strong educational experience for our students.
Curriculum, which is aligned with the California Standards, is delivered
in a variety of ways to meet the learning styles and needs of all of our
students. Beginning in Kindergarten, you will find teaching and learning
activities that are designed to foster literacy, promote understanding
of mathematics, learn about the world we live, develop a love of science
and integrate technology into the learning process. All students
are given opportunities to extend their learning by using critical thinking
skills and problem solving strategies. We believe that all students will
be successful. |
 It
is our desire to work in partnership with the community to provide the
best learning environment for our students. I'd like to invite all parents,
guardians, grandparents and community members to become involved at Vinci
Park in some way this year. Volunteers are always welcome in classrooms,
and through out the school to support student learning. Participation in
the Vinci Park Home and School Club and Site Council is highly encouraged.
Vinci Park Elementary was originally built
in 1975, and is currently undergoing modernization. The timeline
for completion of this construction is eighteen months. Although there
will be some inconvenience during this time, be assured that the focus
on our students’ education will not be affected by this. Once completed,
the improvements will greatly improve the physical part of the school as
well as enhance our technology access.
