Activities
3-D Model
Each individual
will create a 3-dimensional model of their element. All the individual
models will be displayed on the wall or hung as
a mobile. Students may also design a poster that gives more information
about their element or even print up their website and/or Power Point
to display.

Patchwork Quilt
Each individual
will create a section for a patchwork quilt, made of art paper. Each
section will portray something that is representative of the student's
element, or just simply the letter symbol. All the individual sections
will be stapled together, perhaps with all the other non-selected elements
in a "periodic table quilt". It will have, in the center, a
teacher created central patch that states a unifying theme.

Students
are encouraged to write an essay on what they learned by doing this project.
