Language Arts


This year we will be using the Holt Elements of Literature text series.  We will also read several novels and write essays in every genre as we prepare for the state Writing test in March.
 

We will be using a project based learning style of discovery learning, based on the concepts of cooperative learning.

Students will develop their skills in word analysis and vocabulary development.

Students will develop their writing skills through frequent writing assignments, using appropriate grammar and writing conventions.

Students will develop skills in doing research creating a research assignment and doing an oral presentation.
